Ah September!

What a month it's been.
We loose the Ashes only to belt the motherland 6-1 in the ODIs, the Swans have not made the eight, the Minor Premiers St George have choked again, the Wallabies are stuck in loserville and Casta Semenya is neither male or female.

But never fear, Spring has a arrived and that means... Finals Football.

Tomorrow afternoon in an all Victorian grandfinal Nick Riewoldt's Saints are up against wathisface's Cats. If you haven't guessed Splex and i aren't big on AFL. If we were we'd have a dream team up already. Who can resist the short shorts and the biceps of an AFL player.

Those who follow the other code will have to wait one more week to crown the Premiers. Tonight, the 09 stand outs the Dogs play the late blooming Eels. In the other semi-final my beloved Broncos play the goddamn Storm.

Come Monday two teams will go on a drinking binge and the other two will be Grand Finalist for 2009. If the captains call is anything to go by, it will be a Eels-Broncos Grand Final. First team eliminated (from the left) was Newcastle, followed by Manly, Titans and then the Dragons.

In two weeks, when its all said done, some of us will celebrate and others will lament the season past. Nonetheless we will have to say goodbye to football for another year and get our next footy fix from the Americans.

I like AFL but I don't care if the Swans aren't in it. Cats to win purely because I have a cat. Bulldogs to beat Eels.

And I am definitely not watching American football. bring on the Wallabies Spring tour/the cricket
